Gurudwara Chhevin Patshahi,Gujrat City

The Patshah of Meeri and Piri Secular and Temporal Guru Hargobind Ji stayed in this place while on his way back from Kashmir.  Gurudwara Chhevin Patshahi is dedicated to Guru Hargobirid, who visited Nankana Sahib on his way back from Kashmir in 1620. It is close to Gurudwara Tambu Sahib and represents the site of the Guru's camp. Guru Hargobind here joined the traditional Nomani (or Nirjala) Ikadashi fair that year. The place is located inside Kabuli Gate.

Guru Hargobind Ji also sanctified Gurdwara Nanakana Sahib in 1613 A.D. (Samwat 1670) with his visit, after returning from Kashmir. The Guru deputed one Almast, a disciple of Baba Sri Chand, to render care and service to the Gurdwara.The Guru had brought Almast along with him from Kashmir during his journey. A Gurdwara stands erected at the place where the Guru rested for three days. It is situated in the close vicinity of Gurdwara Tambu Sahib. The Guru paid a holy visit to this place in June (Namani Akadashi). Since then a festival was held on that day. There is a another Gurudwara adjoining this place , where Guru Arjan Dev Ji paid a holy visit.The building is quite safe but no daily congregation is held.

Some chroniclers have also used the name of “Haveli Chhenvi Patshahi” (Mansion of the 6th king) for this place. The building is elegantly built and presently it is occupied by refugees. They have made alterations in the building to suit their requirements. Rent is collected by the Wagf~Board.



The Shrine of Shah Daula Ji is also located in this city. Bhai Gadiya met him. Shah Daula listened to the recitation of Sukhmani Sahib from him. Later Shah Ji met sixth Patshahi and made a presentation of 100 tolas of gold to Guru Gobind Singh, which is a part of history. The Shrine of Shah Daula Ji is close to Gurdwara of 6th Patshahi.

Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib

The structure is built at the place where Guru Gobind Singh died. The inner room of the gurdwara is called the Angitha Sahib and is built over the place where Guru Gobind Singh was cremated in 1708. The gurdwara was built between 1832 and 1837 by order of Maharaja Ranjit Singh (1780–1839). The Guru held his court and congregation here and was convalescing after being attacked by two would-be assassins. One of the attackers stabbed the Guru, and was killed by him with a single stroke of his talwar (curved sword). The other was killed by his followers as he tried to escape. The Guru's wound was deep, but initially healed after being stitched by a European surgeon. However the wound re-opened a few days later when the Guru was stringing a bow for one of his Sikhs and the Guru died after declaring the Guru Granth Sahib as his successor. Guru Nanak Jhira Sahib

Guru Nanak Jhira Sahib is a Sikh historical shrine situated in Bidar, Karnataka. Gurdwara Nanak Jhira Sahib was built in the year 1948 and is dedicated to the first Sikh guru Guru Nanak. Bidar has a very long association with Sikhism as this is the home town of Bhai Sahib Singh, one of the Panj Pyare (five beloved ones), who offered to sacrifice their heads and were later baptised as the first members of the Khalsa. The Gurudwara is established in a nice valley, surrounded by laterite hills on three sides. The shrine comprises Darbar Sahib, Diwan Hall and Langar Hall. In the sukhaasan room, Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of Sikh is placed. There is a separate room called the Likhari Room, where donations are accepted and receipts are issued.
